Wonder Woman Takes To Bingo
One of the things that is always astounding about the London Marathon is the amount of people you see running it in fancy dress. The idea of running 26 and a bit miles is bad enough for the vast majority of people but if you had to do that in a silly costume adding weight and heat, the idea would be a terrible one for most people. However, for those people that adore attention and demand that attention be on them at all times, it is definitely a good way to ensure your face will be on TV and your picture will be in the papers.
Get some publicity for your cause
Some people will think that this is a brilliant idea because they love the limelight whereas others will see it as a tremendous way to raise awareness in a certain cause or raise funds for charity. After all, all publicity is good publicity as they say and if putting yourself through a gruelling training schedule and then a nightmare run can boost the profile and fund levels of a good cause, many people would say that this was more than worth it.
Age UK helps bingo players
This will be the case this Sunday for Wonder Woman, or as she is more commonly known as Katrina Festorazzi. The 34 year old from Gillingham will be running the London Marathon in support of Age UK and it seems as though her moniker is well deserved. Some ladies will try to place the title Wonder Woman on themselves, which can be rather embarrassing but if other people bestow it upon you due to the amount of good work you have been doing in the community, you have to say that it is a fairly deserved name. To emphasise the good nature of Festorazzi’s work and her dedication to the ageing process, she has recently taken part in a few bingo games.
Given that she is looking to raise £1,700 for the charity, she will need all the help she can get and taking part in bingo games for charity is always going to be a good way to get more money and people on your side. No matter what the occasion, bingo players are always far more likely to stand up and pay to play if there is a worthy beneficiary at the end of it and Age UK is definitely a cause that most people will be happy to back.
