Bingo Proposal Goes Down Well
In the current business climate, there are probably a lot of proposals for bingo halls and their short and long term future. Not everyone enjoys bingo and with the numbers of people attending the traditional bingo galls, there is often a problem when it comes to keeping halls open. This means that many of the proposals could spell bad news for bingo fans as they could lead to the halls closing down. However, not every bingo proposal is bad news because a recent one was met with much joy and happiness from the attendees at the Opera Bingo club in Whitehaven.
Not a dry eye in the full house
Mother of two Zoe Nicholson has been a long time player at the bingo club and has picked up a few prizes over the years. She may only be 23 years old but bingo players in this part of the country are serious about the game and much of the spare time of the local ladies is spent in the bingo club. Zoe was out with her aunt and friends on a night out when the games stopped and she found herself the centre of attention. This was due to the fact that her partner Ryan O’Pray had an announcement to make and when he got down on one knee, everyone in the hall knew what was coming! Some of the more cynical members may have been willing Zoe to run a mile but for anyone who believed in love, there was hope that an acceptance was on the way.
The 100 attendees at the club were treated to the sight of Ryan offering a diamond engagement ring which was immediately accepted. Cheers range around the hall before the game was allowed to continue.
The couple have not set any date for the wedding and are intending to save up for a number of years to ensure that they can celebrate in style. With two young children this may be a difficult task and it could be that Zoe will have to cut back on her bingo nights in order to save up enough money. Then again, if she can get lucky one more time in a bingo hall it may be that she won’t have to save up as much money as she would need to in order to have a brilliant wedding that will be talked about for years to come.
