Bingo Hall To Get A Boost From Plans
Even though it is becoming difficult for many bingo halls to continue turning a good profit and making a reasonable amount of money these days, this is not always down to their own fault. Sometimes a bingo hall in a bad area of town or without any other reasonable facilities around it will struggle to attract people to the venue. If there is a lot of footfall in the general area, a bingo hall will find it easier to have people coming through its down on a regular basis. This is why latest plans to bring improved facilities to Telford.
Getting more people in the area is important
Most of the work will focus on making major improvements to the existing ice rink, first of all by providing a temporary ice rink while work continues but then a new fully-fledged ice rink will be made available. This should ensure that people get the best form of excitement but if ice skating isn’t your thing; there will be other new additions to the area.
A child’s soft play area will be created but it is the additions of bars and restaurants adjacent to the existing Mecca Bingo hall that is likely to be of interest to bingo players. This could make the bingo evening out experience much more enjoyable for players. This in turn could encourage more people to head along for a few games of bingo, which has to be seen as a positive thing!
The plans are fully backed!
Councillor Arnold England revealed that the council were fully behind these new plans; “This work will result in Telford having a fantastic state of the art ice rink that will be a facility for everyone to be really proud of. There is no doubt the rink currently needs some investment and I am delighted that we are now at a point where we are able to appoint Morgan Sindall as a contractor to do the work.”
This enthusiasm for the event was also shared by Julian Price, the area manager for Morgan Sindall who told a local newspaper; “We are very pleased to have been appointed principal contractor for this project. We are looking forward to bringing our expertise in constructing leisure facilities to bear on this development, which will provide people in Telford with a first class facility and play a central role in invigorating the town centre.”
